Registration
To place an offer, simply click the "Login" button at the top right of the screen. You can sign in using Google. Once signed in, you're ready to make offers.
No, registration on IslandAutoBids is completely free. There are no charges or payment requirements to sign up or place offers.
Making Offers
In order to place an offer, you first have to register with a phone number. Once you've registered and you've found a car you're interested in buying, click the 'Place Offer' button on the vehicle listing.
A reserve price is the minimum amount the seller is willing to accept for their vehicle. If offers don't reach this amount by the time the listing ends, no offer is accepted. Reserve prices are only visible to sellers.
Congratulations! When your offer is the highest and meets the reserve, you'll receive the seller's contact information and they'll receive yours. You can then coordinate payment and vehicle transfer directly with the seller.
Vehicles
It's your responsibility to perform your own due diligence before placing an offer. Review the listing thoroughly, including photos, description, known issues, and any inspection reports. Ask the seller questions through the comments section. We strongly recommend inspecting the vehicle in person before finalising payment.
Yes, we encourage potential buyers to inspect vehicles before making an offer whenever possible. You can contact the seller to arrange an inspection. If you can't inspect it personally, consider hiring a third-party inspection service to evaluate the vehicle on your behalf.
Sellers are required to disclose any known issues with their vehicles. However, it is the buyer's responsibility to carefully review all listing details, photos, and ask questions before placing an offer. If significant undisclosed problems are discovered after purchase, the buyer and seller must resolve the matter directly. IslandAutoBids does not mediate disputes.
Delivery
Vehicle delivery arrangements are made directly between the buyer and seller after the listing ends. You coordinate a pickup time and location that works for both parties.
Beyond the final offer amount, buyers may be responsible for costs such as title transfer, registration, taxes, or inspection fees. These vary depending on your location, so it's important to clarify details with the seller before completing the transaction.
Safety & Security
We implement security measures including user verification and account monitoring. We encourage users to inspect vehicles in person before finalising payment and to keep records of all communications and agreements.
